RIVER RUNS
Our Fleet Captain arranges several excursions including “River Runs,” Overnight Stays, and Raft-Ups each season. Here is a small contingent up north camping on Windsor Island.
Other popular spots for afternoon cookouts or overnight stays include Hamburg Cove, where the club has a permanent mooring available for member use, on the river in Hartford for fireworks, at Gildersleeve Island, our Essex Island fall cookout, and other interesting destinations. A sizable number of members enjoy the social and work activities at the club, but prefer to keep their boats on the shore in Clinton, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Essex, Mystic, and other nearby towns.
